SAN FRANCISCO - Mohamed Aboushaban is truly a man without a country.
Born in stateless Palestine in 1953, he moved to Kuwait in 1978. In 1990, after Iraq invaded the tiny, oil-rich country, Aboushaban and his family were evacuated to the United States, where they applied for political asylum.
