Howrey estate files new wave of lawsuits

The Howrey LLP estate has launched a second wave of litigation against seven law firms that hired former Howrey partners as it ramps up its attempts to collect money for the defunct firm's creditors.

The Howrey LLP estate has launched a second wave of litigation against law firms that hired former Howrey partners as it ramps up collection efforts for its creditors.


The estate, through its Chapter 11 trustee Allan Diamond, claims in seven lawsuits filed in U.S. Bankruptcy Court in San Francisco Friday that these successor law firms wrongly profited from unfinished legal work that originated at Howrey....
