Del Norte County DA may lose job after State Bar disbarment recommendation

Del Norte County District Attorney Jon M. Alexander conceded Friday he may have to give up his job after a State Bar prosecutor recommended his disbarment for misconduct.

SAN FRANCISCO - Del Norte County District Attorney Jon M. Alexander conceded Friday he may have to give up his job after a State Bar judge recommended his disbarment for misconduct.


The embattled district attorney said in a prepared statement that State Bar Judge Lucy M. Armendariz's Thursday ruling was "hardly a surprise," and that he was "considering all options."
