Lawyer Featured in DJ Gets Fired

An attorney with the California Parole Advocacy Program who was prominently profiled in an article in the Daily Journal about the quality of defense for parolees has been fired.

LOS ANGELES - An attorney with the California Parole Advocacy Program who was prominently profiled in an article in the Daily Journal about the quality of defense for parolees has been fired.

In a telephone interview, attorney DeJon R. Lewis said the group, which has a state contract to defend paroles in revocation hearings, retaliated against him for telling the truth to the media.
