WASHINGTON - The Justice Department has improved its oversight of deferred- and non-prosecution agreements, but still lacks a method for measuring how they help combat corporate crime, according to a Government Accountability Office report released Friday.
The GAO found the Justice Department had no means of centrally tracking its use of those agreements prior to 2009.
