Vegas Court Shooting Rattles Nerves

A lone gunman Monday morning entered the Las Vegas federal courthouse, where he shot and killed a veteran court security officer and wounded a deputy U.S. marshal.

Minutes after 8 a.m. Monday, staffers told U.S. District Judge Philip M. Pro of Las Vegas there had been a shooting in the lobby at the Lloyd D. George U.S. Courthouse and Federal Building.
