Eliminating 'Peremptory Prevarication' Is the Best Reform for Civil Proceedings

Congratulations to Kurt Andrew Schlichter for his "Seven Civil Suggestions" (Nov. 27) for improving our civil proceedings. His service, notice, and damage reforms are indeed "commonsense, high impact changes" and best of all is the reform which eliminates what he calls "peremptory prevarication" - getting rid of the lie lawyers have to tell to change the judge assigned to them at the outset of their cases.
