A state appellate court Monday granted $2.5 million in attorney fees to class action lawyers who got Sprint to agree to unlock cell phones for customers who are no longer under contract. The 1st District Court of Appeal said Alameda County Superior Court Judge Bonnie Sabraw should have deferred to the parties' agreement to arbitrate the attorney fees, but found no harm in her award.
