Race for State's Next AG Shaping Up

California Attorney General Jerry Brown still hasn't formally announced whether he will forego a re-election bid for a run at governor in 2010, but his hesitancy hasn't prevented a bevy contenders from lining up to vie for the position of the state's highest law enforcement officer.

SACRAMENTO - California Attorney General Jerry Brown still hasn't formally announced whether he will forego a re-election bid for a run at governor in 2010, but his hesitancy hasn't prevented a bevy of contenders from lining up to vie for the position of the state's highest law enforcement officer. And some political consultants are already placing odds on Sacramento outsiders.
