Governor Names New Judges

Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger spread some holiday cheer Tuesday, naming 20 new judges to trial courts around the state, and elevating a jurist in Los Angeles to presiding justice.

Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger spread some holiday cheer Tuesday, naming 20 new judges to trial courts around the state, and elevating a jurist in Los Angeles to presiding justice.

Santa Clara County received most of the new judgeships, with six appointments. Orange, Solano, Ventura and Kern County superior courts all received two new judges, while courts in Riverside, San Mateo, Monter...
