LOS ANGELES - A court of appeal decision on Tuesday paved the way for the Los Angeles City Attorney's continued probe into the controversial insurance practice known as rescission, in which health plans retroactively cancel sick policyholders' medical coverage for errors or omissions they made when applying for insurance.
