Lawyers Claim Unfair Targeting Of Two Students
LOS ANGELES - Lawyers for two Pakistani students say federal officials are unfairly punishing their clients based on their nationalities. Hours after an immigration judge told the two Pakistani students, picked up after Sept. 11, that they could leave the United States voluntarily rather than be deported, federal marshals took them and another Pakistani man into federal custody for lying on immigration forms to get work.
