Shapiro Misused Funds, Suit Says

LOS ANGELES - The receiver for a defunct company that scammed millions from investors trying to purchase at a discount the life insurance policies of terminally ill people has sued well-known criminal defense lawyer Robert L. Shapiro, claiming Shapiro mishandled some of the illegally obtained funds.
