Despite Scouts' Gay Ban, City Extends Their Lease

SAN DIEGO - The City Council decided Tuesday to extend the Boy Scouts' lease of city property for 25 years, finding after four hours of impassioned public comment that the benefits to boys outweighed concerns about the Scouts' ban on gays and atheists.
