State Bar leaders to propose 2017 ban on alcohol spending

The recommendation from agency executives follows an outside audit that raised red flags.

State Bar executives plan to propose banning all agency spending on alcohol starting in 2017.

Chief Operating Officer Leah Wilson told leaders of the bar's specialty practice groups on Thursday that executives would also recommend to the agency's board Monday ways to limit the bar's spending on alcohol for the rest of 2016.
