Race for Los Angeles County assistant presiding judge grows heated

The election of assistant presiding judge of Los Angeles County Superior Court has turned increasingly contentious as the county's judges begin casting their votes. Some judges have taken offense to supervisors' endorsements.

The election of the assistant presiding judge of Los Angeles County Superior Court has turned increasingly contentious as the county's judges begin casting their votes.


On Wednesday, two former presiding judges threw their support behind Superior Court Judge Carolyn B. Kuhl, the supervising judge of the county's civil courts, in a letter to colleagues.
