Estate wants former Dewey partner to recoup fees for it from his Dodgers work

The Dewey & LeBoeuf LLP estate is seeking to hire Jones Day partner Bruce Bennett to pursue a cut of the legal fees from the Los Angeles Dodgers restructuring. Bennett led the Dewey team that represented the Dodgers in that matter.

To collect its fees from the Los Angeles Dodgers restructuring, the Dewey & LeBoeuf LLP estate has opted for teamwork over competition.


It is seeking to hire Bruce Bennett, who led the Dewey team on that matter before he changed firms, to pursue a cut of the legal fees from it for the estate, according to court filings. Bennett is now a partner at Jones Day.
