Prison Overseer Moves to Seize $8 Billion
In spite of a $15.2 billion state budget deficit, the court appointed receiver overseeing California’s prison health care system on Wednesday asked a U.S. judge to order Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger and his controller to fund his $8 billion plan to improve care.
