Suits Reveal Goodyear Danger

Tread-separation accidents similar to those that have plagued Bridgestone/Firestone but involving large sport utility vehicles and passenger vans equipped with tires made by Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. have killed at least eight people and inflicted often gruesome injuries on at least a dozen more since 1995, according to lawsuits filed nationwide.
