State Bar board set to trim length of bar exam

Exam officials say a two-day exam would be more efficient and cheaper yet just as accurate and difficult as the current three-day exam.

The State Bar is poised this week to cut the grueling California bar exam from three
days down to two. Meeting in Los Angeles Thursday and Friday, the bar's Board of Trustees
is scheduled to vote on a proposal that would bring the state's lawyer entrance exam
in line with those in nearly every other U.S. jurisdiction.
