U.S. Attorney's Office in L.A. Revamps to Target Terrorism
LOS ANGELES - After the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks, more than 1,000 FBI agents were shifted from white-collar and narcotics investigations to focus on terrorism. Other government personnel and departments also were jiggered within the newly formed Department of Homeland Security to respond better to terrorist threats.
