Stormy Weather Fails to Dampen Deal

When Spieker Properties Inc. decided to sell all its holdings to Equity Office Properties Trust, the company reached for a familiar hand. Alison Ressler, 42, a partner in the Los Angeles office of New York's Sullivan & Cromwell, guided Spieker through its initial public offering seven years ago.
