Though the names of several women are circulating as possible Supreme Court nominees, professor Jonathan Shapiro would like one more added to the list.

Conventional wisdom holds that President Obama will select a woman to replace Associate Justice David Souter on the U.S. Supreme Court.

The lists of potential candidates in the media reflect a clear East Coat bias: Judges Sonia Sotomayor of New York, Diane Wood of the 7th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in Chicago, U.S. Solicitor General Elena Kagan in D.C. and professor Kathleen Sullivan in Cambridge, Mass....
