A sports fanatic and aspiring accountant, Herbert Hoffman wound up in the law.

A devout Cubs fan and sports fanatic, Herbert Hoffman once sold peanuts as a teenager at Wrigley Field. He also worked security at Arlington Park, a racetrack about 30 minutes from his hometown of Chicago. For a minute there, he even played tennis professionally.
