Cooley Sets Sights on Nabbing Phony Attorneys
LOS ANGELES - Saying a growing number of scam artists have been passing themselves off as lawyers, Los Angeles County District Attorney Steve Cooley on Thursday announced an initiative to train prosecutors throughout the county to investigate and prosecute phony lawyers who victimize immigrants.
