Cooper's Meritless Defense Claims Mustn't Stall Justice

Forum Column - By Sue Blake - By now, the entire legal community has heard of Kevin Cooper, the man convicted of hacking to death two adults and two children in San Bernardino County in 1983. Cooper's Feb. 10 scheduled execution was stayed at the last minute by the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals to enable the District Court to re-examine some of the evidence in his case.
