Bar prosecutors will investigate possible perjury in attorneys' MCLE compliance

Two dozen lawyers will be investigated by State Bar discipline prosecutors for apparently lying to the bar about their continuing legal education credits.

SANTA ANA - Two dozen lawyers will be investigated by State Bar discipline prosecutors for apparently lying to the bar about their continuing legal education credits.


In an announcement Wednesday, the bar said it had referred the 24 lawyers for possible discipline following a rare audit of how well California lawyers are obeying education rules.
