Going the extra mile for a friend

Jeff E. Scott and his longtime client Edward J. Weiss have grown accustomed to a very fluid business relationship.

LOS ANGELES - Jeff E. Scott and Edward J. Weiss met in 1987. Weiss was a summer associate at Manatt, Phelps & Phillips LLP, and Scott was assigned to be his mentor.


Their roles are very different today. Scott is a shareholder at Greenberg Traurig LLP, and Weiss is his client.
