Law requires judges to brush up on LGBT issues

Family law and juvenile court judges will now receive more educational training on gender identity and sexual orientation issues affecting young people.

California courts are ramping up training for family law and juvenile court judges to help them better serve lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and questioning individuals who appear in their courtrooms.
