Courts grapple with efforts to fight climate change

As both the state and federal governments enact rules to cut greenhouse gases, the courts have given them a wide berth this year.

The state of California and the Obama administration clinched a string of court victories this year upholding their efforts to slash greenhouse gas emissions.


As more legal fights loom in 2014, it appears the courts will continue to play a key role in shaping the country's response to climate change.
