Verdict for Lawrence Livermore in age discrimination case

The panel decided lawyers for five laid off employees didn't prove the lab's policies harmed older workers.

An Oakland jury on Friday returned a unanimous verdict in favor of Lawrence Livermore National Security LLC in the second phase of a wrongful termination trial, finding the weapons lab's layoff policies did not inadvertently discriminate against older workers.
