Panel addresses Davis young alumni
Distinguished UC Davis School of Law alumni spoke to recent graduates at a Dec. 5 Young Alumni Association event about lessons they've learned during their careers. The panel, held at Greenberg Glusker Fields Claman & Machtinger LLP in Los Angeles, featured Russell Jura, the former general counsel of Yamaha Motor Corp. USA; Steve Zipperstein, the general counsel of Blackberry Ltd.; Loyola Law School professor Aimee Dudovitz; and Sarah Heidel, a federal prosecutor in Los Angeles. The group discussed the importance of finding mentors, staying creative and keeping a sense of humor, among other topics. The Young Alumni Association was launched this year in Southern California by a group of volunteer UC Davis School of Law alumni and has since expanded to San Francisco and Sacramento. — Kylie Reynolds
