Visa taps in-house veteran as general counsel

The Foster City-based financial giant announced Thursday that it had promoted M. Ellen Richey from within the company's ranks to replace outgoing general counsel, who plans to return to private practice.

Foster City-based financial giant Visa Inc. announced Thursday it has promoted a new chief legal officer from within the company's ranks.


M. Ellen Richey, also named executive vice president, succeeds departing general counsel Joshua R. Floum, who has steered Visa's legal department for nearly a decade.
