Irell partner guides trust to multibillion dollar win

A judge has ruled that a massive petroleum company must pay between $5 billion and $14 billion in one of the largest bankruptcy fraudulent transfer cases ever tried.

Anadarko Petroleum Corp and its Kerr-McGee unit could be liable for up to $14.2 billion in environmental cleanup and other damages, a judge ruled last week in one of the largest bankruptcy fraudulent transfer cases ever tried.
