Greenberg Traurig lauded with diversity award
The Los Angeles office of Greenberg Traurig LLP took home the Corporate Diversity Award at the 2013 Compete Sports Diversity Awards ceremony on Nov. 12. The event, hosted by LGBT sports publication "Compete Magazine," honors people and organizations that have furthered the interests of the LGBT community in sports. Other honorees included NBA athletes Jason and Jarron Collins, Los Angeles Galaxy player Robbie Rogers and the National Gay Flag Football League. Greenberg Traurig shareholder Philippe Phaneuf, who is involved with organizations Equality California and The Stigma Project, accepted the award on the office's behalf. The firm's attorneys work with numerous equal rights groups, including the Anti-Defamation League, California Women's Law Center and the Special Olympics. — Kylie Reynolds
