Judge rejects food mislabeling case

Defendants won a food court victory Tuesday when a San Francisco federal judge dismissed claims that Whitewaves Food Co.'s yogurt and milk products were mislabeled.

Defendants won a food court victory Tuesday when a San Francisco federal judge dismissed claims that Whitewaves Food Co.'s yogurt and milk products were mislabeled.

Plaintiffs had claimed the ingredient list used the term evaporated cane juice, instead of sugar. They also said "soy milk" and "almond milk" were confusing because milk is defined as coming from a dairy cow.
