State attorneys consider implications of new Volcker rule

Financial regulatory attorneys in California found few surprises as they began to pour over the rule's roughly 900 pages of regulations and clarifications. But many remain uneasy about its implementation.

After three years of deliberation, a consortium of officials at five federal financial regulatory agencies in Washington, on Tuesday unveiled the final version of the Volcker rule, one of the most significant and far-reaching portions of the landmark Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act.
