Longtime courtroom foes Rambus and Micron strike a deal

Rambus Inc. reached a patent licensing agreement with Idaho-based chip maker Micron Technology Inc. that settles "all outstanding disputes" between the companies, the Sunnyvale-based chip designer announced in a statement late Monday.

Rambus Inc. reached a patent licensing agreement with Idaho-based chip maker Micron Technology Inc. that settles all litigation between the companies, the Sunnyvale-based chip designer announced late Monday.


Micron will pay up to $280 million over the next seven years to use Rambus patented technology to manufacture certain memory chip and other integrated circuit products.
