SACRAMENTO - William M. Gallagher, a long-serving and sometimes controversial Sacramento County Superior Court judge, died last month at the age of 93. He retired from the court just five years ago, after a lengthy career beginning with his appointment to the bench in 1961 by Gov. Pat Brown.
