Skaff knocked out a patent claim against Google Inc., which was accused of infringing software that protects Web surfers against malware.


The lawsuit, brought by Texas inventor Alfonso Cioffi and the estate of his late partner, Allen Frank Rozman, claimed the Google Chrome browser infringed a "Web browser process" that protected users against malware.
