Steinthal recently helped music streaming service Pandora Media Inc. keep its licensing agreements with big record companies that wanted change the terms of their deals.


In 2012, Pandora sued the American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers, or ASCAP, a not-for-profit organization that collects licensing fees from stations like Pandora and distributes them back to the recording artists and their companies.
