Small Ventura County city wins the right to replace its water utility

Golden State Water Co. lost an appeal Tuesday that sought to stop the small city of Ojai from bringing in another water utility to replace it.

Golden State Water Co. lost an appeal Tuesday that sought to stop the city of Ojai from bringing in another water utility to replace it.


A 2nd District Court of Appeal panel ruled the city could use bonds issued under the Mello-Roos Act to supplant it with the Casitas Municipal Water District.
