Gerald T. McLaughlin, a former dean of Loyola Law School and the author of a history of the school, died Sunday after a long illness. He was 73.
Professor Laurie L. Levenson, who served as an associate dean under McLaughlin for a time, called him "a wonderful man ... who always had the interests of Loyola Law School at the top of his list.
