Irving S. Feffer: 1931-2015

Colleagues remember him as a hot rod devotee, marksman, book agent, and well-connected L.A. local who loved entertaining.

Retired Los Angeles County Superior Court Judge Irving Steven Feffer passed away Sunday. He was 83.


Nicknamed "Feisty Feffer" by his colleagues, the congenial judge was best known for hosting frequent lunches and dinners that included everyone from lawyers who just finished arguing in his courtroom that day to celebrated novelists like Truman Capote.
