Restrictive settlements may not fly

A 9th Circuit Court of Appeals panel on Wednesday reversed and remanded a district court's decision to have an emergency room physician sign a settlement agreement barring him from future employment at affiliates.

A split 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals on Wednesday reversed and remanded a lower court's decision to enforce a wrongful termination settlement agreement between an emergency room physician and his physician group that barred him from future employment at the group's affiliates.
