SAN FRANCISCO - In a rare appeal of a dog's death sentence, a panel of Court of Appeal justices has seemed disinclined to grant a reprieve to Hera, one of two Presa Canario dogs involved in the fatal mauling of a Pacific Heights woman earlier this year.
