Wilson Sonsini: KLA BUYS DEFECT-DETECTION EQUIPMENT FROM QC OPTICS
San Jose's KLA Tencor Corp. has agreed to acquire QC Optics Inc. of Wilmington, Mass., in a transaction valued at $3 million. Under the agreement's terms, KLA Tencor will purchase the remaining shares of QC Optics at $1 a share.
