Judge Refuses to Toss Contempt Charges

LOS ANGELES - A Superior Court judge refused Tuesday to throw out contempt-of-court charges against Deputy District Attorney Michael Duarte, ruling that jailhouse-interview notes taken by a law clerk and allegedly altered by the prosecutor are not "work product" and, therefore, had to be shared with defense lawyers.
