Better Late Than Never, And He's Better

SAN FRANCISCO - Elliot Beckelman says serving as a prosecutor in San Francisco is better than playing center field for the New York Yankees. A native New Yorker and longtime Yankees fan like Beckelman might consider the latter a dream job, but he says being a prosecutor has a better payoff: Every so often, he gets to put away one of society's bad guys.
