Verizon collected and sold mobile browsing data, complaint alleges

A class action set to be filed Friday alleges that Verizon Wireless secretly tracked its subscribers' browsing history, bundled it into profiles and sold the information to Redwood City-based data harvestor Turn Inc.

A class action set to be filed Friday alleges that Verizon Wireless secretly tracked its subscribers' browsing history, bundled it into profiles and sold the information to Redwood City-based data harvestor Turn Inc.


The suit, filed by Brian S. Kabateck of Kabateck Brown Kellner LLP, calls for the company to disgorge all profits made from the sale of the data.
